Who We Are

The Women Development Initiative Foundation, Inc;(WDIF, Inc) was founded in 2016 by group of Liberians who are interested in the promotion of women empowerment throughout the Republic of Liberia, and other parts of the World. The foundation comprises several individuals from all backgrounds who function collectively for the sole purpose of enhancing the desired goal and objective of the foundation.

The Women Development Initiative Foundation, Inc; comprises Liberians based in Liberia, and other parts of the World with the sole aim and objective of promoting women empowerment in Liberia. The Foundation meets its humanitarian goal by sourcing the needed funding/resources and providing a convenient means by which donor contributions can be received and used for the purpose intended. It also creates an environment to accommodate females who have never attended school in their lives, and those who have dropped out of school.

WDIF, Inc is part of a global initiative where the world understands, that educating, and empowering women with some basic skills of life play an important role in the voices of women being heard in society.

Our leadership team and facilitators work together to change the lives of our mothers and sisters from across the fifteen sub-political Divisions of the Republic of Liberia by empowering them through our Tailoring, Pastry, Soap making, Interior Decoration, Hotel Management, and Cosmetology programs to be independent in society.

And with your support, Women Development Initiative, Inc. can provide cutting-edge education and training at no cost to our women — so they can focus on their training and become productive in society tomorrow.

Donation You can make a monthly Donation of $25.00 per a woman which will change the lives of our mothers and sisters by empowering them with these basic skills: Tailoring, Pastry, Soap making, Interior Decoration, Hotel Management, and Cosmetology
Humanity, with a focus on female affairs, is established in schools around our country and teaches humanity, moral conduct, conflict, prevention, and resolution. The foundation also carries out campaigns amongst young females against acts of violence, drug abuse, and caregiving, which includes first aid.

Vision

The Women Development Initiative Foundation‘s vision is to cover the 15th counties in Liberia in teaching identifying letters, writing, reading, and vocational skills training.

Mission:

The mission of Women Development Initiative Foundation, Inc. is to provide adult literacy education and training in Tailoring, Pastry, Soap making, Interior Decoration, Hotel Management and Cosmetology skills. Consistent with the vision of our Chairman of the Board of Directors, Melvin D. Howard, “Women empowerment creates a better society.” He most often says, “We can’t give you fish, rather, we will teach you how to fish”.
